Cumberland Academy

Cumberland Academy, a tuition-free charter school in Tyler, TX chose Ramtech’s slab-on-grade permanent modular construction process for their middle school campus expansion. The 15,232 square foot building features 11 classrooms, a library, boys and girls restrooms, and four private offices used as special learning areas. The exterior features a combination of Fabral silhouette HCF Series 16 concealed fastener metal panels and EIFS cladding, along with a 48” High Site extended parapet wall to conceal the roof mounted HVAC equipment. The building is connected to the existing school in two areas using site-built connecting corridors, and has LVT flooring throughout to match the existing campus. The interior features textured and painted walls with ceramic tile in the wet areas.

Arlington Classics AcademyCampus Expansion

Ramtech used the company’s PMC slab-on-grade system for this 37,329 square foot elementary school building for Arlington Classics Academy located at the charter schools Dalworthington Gardens campus. The design-build project provides space for 24 standard classrooms to accommodate up to 528 additional students in the third through fifth grades. The modular school building has five special use classrooms for the school’s art, music, speech, and special education programs. It also includes a cafeteria with a warming kitchen, administrative offices, a library annex with a tutoring center and learning lab, and a 3,000 square foot multipurpose exercise room with a 12 foot ceiling height and its own dedicated heating and cooling system. Ramtech provided full site development including the addition of two acres of paving to help ease the amount of vehicular traffic on the main feeder road.

Clary Sage College

Ramtech provided full design-build services for the development and construction of this 19,270 square foot two-story addition, increasing the overall size of the college’s existing building by 60%. Using the Accelerated Building System and a stipulated sum design-build contract, the project will add 12 vocational classrooms to be used as labs for computer, interior design, and fashion design, as well as space for administrative offices, a commercial display area, student union and break rooms.

The interior finishes include a polished and stained concrete floor on the lower level while a combination of Cintiva vinyl and carpet are used for the top floor. The exterior uses an EIFS wall cladding designed to provide a seamless transition from the existing structure to the new addition.

Blue Ridge ISD – Middle School

This single-story middle school is the first of two projects designed and constructed for the Blue Ridge ISD. To help meet their budget and complete a bond issue after previous proposals were rejected, Ramtech helped value engineer both buildings leaving the District with enough funds to cover the costs of other renovations, site improvements, and facility upgrades. The Accelerated Building System was used to construct an 18,088 sq. ft. facility featuring 12 classrooms, two science labs, and administrative space. Designed to match the adjacent high school by using a split-faced block ma¬sonry exterior, the building also integrates existing low voltage systems, and utilizes a mechani¬cal and lighting system designed to meet the District’s energy management program.

Alief ISD – Middle School

As part of the multi-campus expansion for their elementary and middle schools, the Alief, TX Independent School District chose the Accelerated Building System to provide a total of 13 permanent modular classrooms totaling over 124,000 square feet. Designed to meet a UBC Type II construction classification, the all-steel structures were manufactured, installed, and finish-out in under nine months. Each free-standing building was designed to blend in with the existing architecture, and included grade level entries with covered walkways to the main structure. Sophisticated rooftop HVAC systems were installed to handle the areas high humidity requirements.

Blue Ridge ISD – Elementary School

During the final phase of Ramtech’s construction of Blue Ridge ISD’s middle school, we began the demolition of some existing structures and the extensive site work required for a two-story 28,200 square foot elementary school building, expanded parking area, and new road. The ABS permanent modular construction approach was then used to manufacture and construct a facility that features 17 classrooms, two science labs, administrative office space, and a combined library and media center. Like the middle school, the building has integrated data, communication, and alarm systems, as well as a mechanical and lighting system designed to accommodate the District’s energy management system. The new school also incorporates a full-height split-faced block exterior to match the other surrounding structures.

Seminole ISD – Gymnasium

As part of a district-wide multi-building expansion project for the Seminole ISD, Ramtech added a multi-purpose gymnasium, an elementary school classroom wing, and a new maintenance facility utilizing steel building systems for all three projects.

The gymnasium is connected by a corridor to the main high school campus structure and was designed to match the architecture and interior and exterior finishes of the existing building. The gym area contains basketball and volleyball courts along with a gymnastic runway on a cushioned suspended wood floor playing surface.

The interior also includes a large split level lobby area, girls and boys dress – ing rooms, weight training room, coaching offices, concession area, and public restrooms.
